Pam is an Associate Clinical Director for the Duke Heart Network. She earned her BSN from East Carolina University, Greenville, NC in 1987. Pam began her career at Duke University Hospital immediately upon graduation and over the next 30 years served in various roles to include; staff nurse, Main OR Charge Nurse, Cardiac Charge Nurse, Nurse Manager and Clinical Nurse Educator. Additionally, she was commissioned to the United States Navy Nurse Corps in February 1990. In May of 2005, she was recalled to active duty for the US Navy and served two years at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune, in Jacksonville, NC, supporting the Main Operating Room. While on active duty she began the MSN program at the Duke University School of Nursing and completed this degree in August of 2008. She continues to be an active drilling reservist with rank of Commander. After 29 years in Perioperative Services Pam was given an opportunity to become a member of the Duke Heart Network team in May 2017. Pam brings her strong perioperative knowledge, experience and staff development expertise to the team.
