Clinical Contracting Services’ (CCS) core responsibilities are to provide oversight in the contract development process to clinicians and administrators in DHAN, other DUHS entities including Duke University Hospital, Duke Raleigh Hospital, Duke Regional Hospital, Duke Home Care and Hospice and Duke Health Integrated Practice, Inc. CCS’s primary objective is to ensure that contracts are clear and compliant.

CCS facilitates implementation of services by establishment of a contract (from drafting through execution) coordinating input from clinical providers, operational management, legal counsel, risk management, compliance and others. CCS also maintains the Duke Health Affiliations and Networks contract database as a current and historical repository of contractual relationships. By conducting periodic reviews of existing contracts,  CCS allows business departments to realign, renegotiate or terminate contracts as needed to ensure on-going compliance with regulatory requirements and contract terms.
