Laurie Van Camp is an Associate Clinical Director for the Duke Heart Network. She joined the Duke Heart Network in 2005 to enhance program development.

She has 18 years of interventional cardiovascular experience as a staff nurse, charge nurse and nurse manager. During that time she gained invaluable knowledge about the invasive treatment of complex coronary and structural heart disease.

Laurie''s role in the Duke Heart Network has evolved to include quality oversight and performance improvement. Her clinical experience, as well as her communication and leadership skills, provide a strong foundation to assist affiliates with analysis of performance measures, registry data and the development of improvement initiatives. Her latest work involves supporting affiliates with clinical practice and education on topics ranging from transcatheter aortic valve replacement to acute kidney injury prevention.  

Laurie graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She has a Master of Science in Nursing from Duke School of Nursing with an emphasis on healthcare leadership.
