Pam Peaks is an Associate Clinical Director for the Duke Heart Network. Her nursing career began at Duke University Hospital where she has attained over 30 years of experience in various roles to include: staff nurse, main operating room charge nurse, cardiac operating room charge nurse, Nurse Manager and Clinical Nurse Educator.

In 1990 she enlisted in the United States Navy Nurse Corps and continues to be an active drilling reservist with rank of Commander. In May of 2005, she was recalled to active duty for the US Navy and served two years at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune, in Jacksonville, NC supporting the main operating room.

Commander Peaks earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Carolina University, Greenville, NC in 1987 and a Master of Science in Nursing from Duke University School of Nursing in 2008. She brings her strong perioperative knowledge, experience and staff development expertise to the Duke Heart Network team.
